My Journey

My Journey
to become a Web Developer has built organically
from my desire to solve problems.

Hi! Thanks for coming to my website! My name is Harry and I am a Software Engineer based in Atlanta, GA. A litle about me: I believe in progressive, positive change through purposeful business strategy. With a background in hospitality small business ownership, my passion is to develop software and web apps that can put power and upward mobility in the hands of all who desire it.
Currently, I work as Success Engineer
helping other Engineers integrate automated testing into their SDLC. By night, I code. I like to build things in React and Nodejs. I love to chat with other developers and share my work so I can learn from other professionals with more experience. It is a great way to get exposure to new project ideas and tehnologies.

My resume is available for download HERE.

I was trained at General Assembly Atlanta. I attended the Software Engineering Immersive in 2017. In the program, I learned a great deal about Web Development from teachers and staff who were experienced engineers. The most important skill I developed is learning how to learn. The course empowered me to build solo and group projects using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, and Ruby on Rails. Since my bootcamp, I learned to build projects using React, Redux, GraphQL, AWS Serverless and Lambda, and Firebase.

Portfolio

Here is what my colleagues have to say:

Really positive attitude and easy to work with. I really appreciated being able to work through complex problems with Harry and be able to work together to talk it out or troubleshoot. He knows his stuff, cares about the quality and success of the project, and was a great team member. He went out of his way to try to complete the image upload feature on his own because he truly wanted to expand his knowledge and contribute a unique and above-and-beyond feature to the project. Also just a fantastic guy all around.
